There are A LOT of different ways to access your emails. Computers, phones and tablets are all part of our work routine, but setting up your email accounts on your devices isn’t the same in every case.

There are also the different email platforms that can be used to read and reply to your emails on. Perhaps the most common, at least in terms of compatibility with different devices and brands, is Microsoft Outlook. It has undergone some changes over the years, and the latest version is part of the Office 365 package. There is also Apple Mail and Android Email, both popular because they are free on their respective platforms.

Below, we will run through how to set up a new email account on each of these devices and services.

Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft does a pretty good job of explaining just how to add your email details to their current platform, as well as some of the older versions, and they do so for computers as well as phones. The link below will take you to their very helpful resources.

  • Click on Mail in the menu top bar (next to the Apple logo)
  • Click on Add Account
  • Select Other Mail Account
  • Add your name (or the name of the email address)
  • Add the FULL email address

You may see a popup saying that the account was unable to be verified, add the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Servers. Type in:

mail.parvohost.com for 23ccc clients (or whatever your email hosts provided you with)

If you get a security certificate warning, click on the warning icon, click on Trust Certificate and continue. It is likely this will come up twice, do the same for both warnings (this is for the incoming and outgoing mail). These settings should be saved, and should not return in the future. If they do, just repeat those steps.

Android Phones

To set up your email account on an Android phone, open the email app, and tap ‘Create Account’. Put in your FULL email account and password. If your device offers you more set up options, select IMAP, and continue. On the next set up screen, you need to make sure the Username has your FULL email address again, the password should be copied from the previous screen. If it isn’t, add that as well.

Press done/continue to complete the set up.

You should new be connected to your email account.
